Certificate Verification

Verify a deletion certificate

Paste a JWS deletion certificate below to independently verify its authenticity. All verification happens in your browser — no data is sent to our servers.

How verification works

  1. The JWS compact string is parsed into header, payload, and signature.
  2. The Key ID (kid) is extracted from the header.
  3. The public signing key is fetched from /.well-known/signing-key.json.
  4. The Ed25519 signature is verified against the public key using your browser's Web Crypto API.
  5. If valid, the certificate payload is decoded and displayed.

No data leaves your browser during verification. You can inspect this page's source code to audit the verification logic.
